Our Safety Record
The Kate Valley Landfill has an exemplary safety record. Since the Landfill opened in June 2005 there have been no serious injuries to staff or visitors. Waste Management NZ Ltd who has the contract to operate the Landfill manages the day-to-day implementation of health and safety policies and practices. Waste Management produces a detailed Health and Safety report for the Transwaste Board each month.
