Students ask the right questions

In 2021 students from Tuahiwi and Woodend Schools in the Waimakariri District interviewed people involved in every stage of the journey of waste from council waste collection centres to Kate Valley. At the Landfill they learned about the waste disposal process, the capture of gas and generation of renewable energy at the Gareth James Energy Park. They also visited Tiromoana Bush to discover how Kate Valley is regenerating a lowland native forest in Tiromoana Bush. Their interviews are on this page.
